On the Move: Agencies
- Philippe Garneau has been named executive creative director of Vickers & Benson Companies.
In his new post, Garneau is responsible for the creative services of Vickers & Benson Advertising, V&B Direct, Southside Digital Communications and Warwick & Associates.
Garneau joined v&b as copywriter in July 1994 after leaving the post of senior copywriter at Chiat/Day, Toronto.
Before that, he held senior creative positions at Doyle Dane Bernbach and Campbell Ewald in Toronto.
Garneau replaces Bruce Philp, who left v&b this past December to operate as a strategic planning consultant.
- Mark McCurdy recently joined Parallel Strategies – Vancouver as vice-president of advertising.
McCurdy, who has been in the business in Vancouver for the past 12 years, comes from two years of operating his own agency.
Parallel Strategies also has an office in Calgary.
- Tracey Clairmont and Susan Kenny have joined Toronto’s Cundari Group as account executives. Clairmont comes to the company from Bratch Goehrum & Partners. She will be handling CPC Knorr brands and SmithKline Beecham Cough and Cold brands.
Kenny was most recently an account executive at Impact Graffiti. She will be working on CPC Bovril and SmithKline Beecham’s Oxy, Tums and Aquafresh brands.
- Marsha Walden has been promoted to senior vice-president, director of client services at BBDO Vancouver. Also at BBDO Vancouver, Hilary Carder has been promoted to account director.
The new manager of interactive communications at BBDO Vancouver is Erinne Pantages.
