Bennett Klein has stepped down from his role as partner at Capital C to begin writing a book on his experience in the industry, but will continue to work for the agency as a consultant on brand platform development and strategic planning.

The creative planner has spent the past 19 years at the agency, with 16 of those years as a partner. He will continue to be involved with investments that agency partners have made outside of Capital C, including the international rights for reality show Recipe to Riches, says Tony Chapman, CEO at the Toronto-based shop.

In February of this year, the agency hired Gary Watson as its ECD, notes Chapman, adding that “Bennett and I are working closer on overall strategy and positioning. He is very involved with Capital C and will continue to be so.”

His book is on idea facilitation will detail how to externalize and align teams around ideas while moving through the decision chain, Klein says, adding that balancing theory and practice will strengthen his future creative work overall.
