Cossette boosts exec ranks

Cossette has brought on board Steve Groh as its new VP national brand director.

Groh most recently worked at Bensimon Byrne as VP group account director, leading the agency’s Scotiabank account. Prior to Bensimon, he worked at BBDO in the same role, leading the agency’s Mitsubishi, Mercedes and FedEx accounts.

This is a newly created position, in which he’ll largely be leading the McDonald’s account.

The hire comes on the heels of news that Cossette’s parent company Vision 7 was purchased by China-based BlueFocus at the tail end of last year. Since then, the agency has announced a number of promotions and hires, including Michael Milardo to ECD in the Vancouver office.
