Non-profit focused agency Stephen Thomas has hired Kathleen Grace as account director, digital specialist. Grace was most recently marketing and communications manager at CanadaHelps. In her new role, she is tasked with helping clients ensure they’re thinking strategically about digital when it comes to their fundraising and marketing goals.

Ketchum Public Relations has announced new promotions and hires. Brianne Sommerville, previously a junior publicist with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada, has been brought on as an account executive on its brand and consumer team. Meanwhile, Laura Tulley has been promoted to account supervisor, Giovana Chichito to media relations specialist, Rachel Gobin to office manager.

Toronto app agency Plastic Mobile has left its Liberty Village offices to move under the same roof as its parent company, Havas. The move was in part because of growth this year, including six client wins (including Scene, LCBO and Sun Life Financial, among others).

PR and social media agency 1Milk2Sugars, which recently moved to a new office space in Toronto’s Liberty Village, has announced the hiring of Ashley Walsh as social media manager. Working out of its Toronto office, Walsh will lead the social media and digital division for both Toronto and Montreal. Walsh has previously worked as a freelance social media specialist and has held roles with Instigator Communications, WedLuxe Magazine and Matchstick, working on brands including Coty Canada, Beam Suntory, Addition Elle and L’Oréal.

Free for All Marketing has announced three changes to its senior staff. Cristina Grimm has come on as regional VP for its new Vancouver office. Grimm was most recently senior regional market manager at Telus. Jodi Spitzer has been promoted to vice president. With the company since 2012 as a senior director, Spitzer has led major accounts including Toronto Hydro and Metrolinx, specializing in consumer education programming. Lastly, Bibianna Poon, who joined Free for All Marketing in 2013, has been promoted to director, conferences and events.

Adobe announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire California-based video advertising company TubeMogul in a deal worth approximately $540 million.

After more than three decades in radio broadcasting, CHFI’s Erin Davis has announced her retirement. Most recently, Davis was host of Erin & Darren in the Morning on the Rogers-owned station.

Bell Media has introduced two new products, including Advanced Audiences, its first proprietary behavioural targeting product and Audience Extension, which allows clients to retarget visitors within the Bell Media network.
