JOB TITLE: Account Director, VICE

REPORTS TO: Senior Sales Director

OVERVIEW: The Account Director is an integral part of the VICE Media Sales team, working with agencies, brands, and partners to drive revenue through best-in-class content marketing solutions, and a stellar customer experience.

• Build and foster a national media sales territory, working closely with agencies and direct clients to exceed revenue goals across VICE’s core digital, print, experiential, and custom content platforms.
• Manage real-time progress on clients to understand their business goals and challenges, and to generate opportunities to work together.
• Work in partnership with in-house agency Virtue to develop tailored media and content marketing solutions, delivered proactively and in response to briefs, to ensure a best in class response.
• To be actively engaged in cross-promoting group-wide services.
• Constantly challenge status quo to drive maximum value for clients, and partners
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and internal weekly status meetings
• Provide exemplary customer service in all things
• Detailed account management duties, including:
o Forecasting
o Strategic Account Planning
o CRM & Sales Pipeline Management
o Project Management
• Other:
o To undertake such other tasks including general administrative duties as may be required from time to time.
o To be an ambassador for the business at all times.

• Diploma/degree, post-grad certification in Media or Advertising an asset
• 3 years experience in media or advertising sales
• Previous digital media sales experience an asset
• Strong understanding of content marketing
• Senior level relationships with Canadian media agencies and direct clients.
• Thorough understanding of digital media and content marketing landscape including video, mobile, social, display, programmatic, and experiential.
• Ability to conceptualize and deliver creative solutions with a focus on storytelling for multiple screens.
• Organizational agility and strong attention to detail.
• Strong team-player ethic.
• Self-motivation and energy in taking ownership of client projects.
• Ability to handle heavy workload, mediating demands and requests with strong problem solving drive.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and confidence in presenting ideas with impact.
• Ability to use data, research and insights to justify recommendations.
• Must have great interpersonal skills, team builder and team player; an ability to relate professionally within all levels of the organization
