K. Mac nabs sports stars

A new firm, specializing in promotional campaigns, has entered the sports marketing fray with Toronto Maple Leaf Dave Ellett and Toronto Blue Jay Candy Maldonado as its standard bearers.

Keith McIntyre, president of Toronto-based K. Mac & Associates Marketing, says he is talking to Effem Foods, Procter & Gamble and Helene Curtis, the cosmetics company.

McIntyre says he has exclusive business contracts with Ellett and Maldonado, with the hockey player’s document running to nine pages.

Angelo Mosca

He says K. Mac is also working with former Canadian Football League great and sometime wrestler and promoter Angelo Mosca.

He says Mosca has a lot of promotional street smarts, and does the voice-over for Ivory soap.

McIntyre, who officially launched K. Mac late last month, is the former marketing manager for Remy Canada, distributor of wines and spirits including Absolut vodka.

He also worked in marketing and sales at Bristol-Myers.
