effective Aug. 20, The Communique Group, a Toronto corporate communications firm specializing in sales meetings and corporate videos, acquired one of its main competitors, Incentive Design Group, both of Toronto.

Communique is owned by The Rider Travel Group, a corporate travel company, also based in Toronto.

The merged firm, which will employ over 70, is to be known as The Communique Group.

The acquisition follows shortly after the announcement that Tony Chapman, who founded Communique 10 years ago, had left the firm to set up his own company, Capital C Communications.
