Toronto’s O’Keefe Centre has completed the agency search begun this past June, awarding the Torsney Group the $500,000 account.
Also on the short-list were Robins Sharpe, Ranscombe & Company, Kaufman Advertising, Franklin Dallas and Chris Hughes, all of Toronto.
Toronto-based Torsney will be handling all creative, direct mail, media planning and buying for the performing arts centre, its restaurant and boutique.
The first campaign gets under way this week for the limited engagement modern dance performance of Tharp and Baryshnikov.
Torsney, which also has an office in Hamilton, has been a division of Toronto-based Doner Schur Peppler since March.
Ownership of the agency is split between Doner Schur Peppler and Brian Torsney, chief executive officer and creative director. PS
