In a story on direct marketing technology that appeared in a Special Report in the Oct. 5 issue, it was stated that Adrian Harvey designed the interactive voice response system used by Sunbeam. In fact, Harvey was an account executive with a company called Phoneworks, whose software programmers designed the system. Harvey has since founded his own company, Phonetix, which also supplies voice processing systems.

As well, the Sunbeam toll-free number was stated incorrectly. The correct number is 1-800-66-Sunbeam. Strategy regrets the error.
