Canadian Women in Radio and Television has announced the finalists for its Woman of the Year and Employer of the Year award.

The awards will be presented at cwrt’s second annual gala on Nov. 2 in Vancouver.

Among the finalists for the Woman of the Year award are Trina McQueen, vice-president, regional broadcasting operations, cbc, Sheelagh Whittaker, president and chief executive officer, Cancom, the late Martha Blackburn, former chairwoman of the board, The Blackburn Group and Rita Shelton Deverell, Vision TV host.

Up for Employer of the Year awards are such companies as YTV Canada, Rogers Broadcasting, the Global TV Network and the National Film Board. DC
