Seiko Canada has started a review of its advertising account.
Base Brown & Partners of Toronto has handled Seiko’s Pulsar brand advertising since the mid-1980s, and in 1988 picked up the rest of the Seiko watch business, including Lasalle and Loras brands.
Base Brown will not be taking part in the review.
Brian Wynn, Seiko vice-president of sales, says he will be contacting a list of agencies early this month and hopes to have a final decision by the end of the year.
Wynn says the company needs advertising that is more ‘creative and impactful’ to build business.
He would also like to move into areas such as database marketing, special events and promotions.
A budget figure will be announced at a later date. PS
