About six ad agencies are pitching for a hush-hush special assignment for Toronto-Dominion Bank this month, including td agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and Grey Advertising.
The winner will be known next month.
td has been dividing its personal financial services business between the two shops as projects come up, but because of the nature of the new venture, it has decided to widen its options.
td recently bought the 154 branches of Central Guaranty Trust, and will be merging cgt into its operations at a later date.
td has more than 850 branches nationwide.
Air Ontario review
air Ontario has launched a search for an ad agency to replace Laser Communications, a Toronto firm which closed last September.
Leanne Perreault, Air Ontario marketing and customer relations manager, expects to make a final decision by mid-February.
The new agency will handle creative and promotions, along with media planning and buying.
Air Ontario advertising has been primarily print, with some radio and outdoor.
The London, Ont.-based airline is owned by Air Canada and operates as an Air Canada connector.
Air Ontario flies to 10 Ontario cities, as well as to Montreal, Winnipeg and five u.s. destinations.
