In a surprise move that comes days after Sears Canada announced record sales declines, the retail chain has shaken up its ad agency assignments.

It is understood that Sears hasdropped McKim Baker Lovick/BBDO as its media agency-of-record and its lead creative agency Franklin Dallas Advertising, in favor of a consolidation under one shop.

Sears executives could not be reached at press time for confirmation, it is understood that Sears’ new agency is Prism Communications, Toronto.

The Sears account is believed to be about $10 million.

In the U.S., Sears is conducting an agency review.
