MacLaren regroups GM acct.

Maclaren:Lintas has shaken up its General Motors of Canada account group, replacing group head Jim Shaw with John Anderson.

Marty Rothstein, MacLaren’s president and ceo, says Shaw, who was senior vice-president, director of client services, has left the agency.

But Rothstein says Shaw will remain with Interpublic, assuming a new position with the organization elsewhere in the world.

Before stepping into his new role, Anderson was senior vice-president, director of client services, heading up MacLaren’s Molson business.

The Molson account is now led by Dominic Caruso, vice-president, group account director, who reports directly to Rothstein.

Rothstein called the changes ‘family business’ and was not prepared to comment further.
