New faces at G.B. Roche

Geoffrey B. Roche & Partners, Toronto, has brought five new staff members on board.

Tom Bassett has joined the agency as strategist after four years with the Toronto and Montreal offices of J. Walter Thompson.

While at jwt, Bassett was responsible for the Teledyne, Mattel, Alcan and Canadair assignments.

The other four additions have been made to the creative department, including writers Ian MacKellar and Glen Hunt.

MacKellar was previously with Cossette Communication-Marketing in Toronto, contributing to Bell Mobility, McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada, Scotiabank and TVOntario accounts.

Hunt has been with Young & Rubicam, working with such clients as Labatt Breweries of Canada, and Kraft General Foods.

Two new art directors also started with Geoffrey B. Roche & Partners this week.

Deborah Prenger comes from McCann-Erickson Advertising, where she has been working on Christie Brown, Coca-Cola, at&t, Unilever and American Express accounts.

Howard Beauchamp was most recently working on the Volkswagen business at DDB Needham.

Beauchamp started his career at tbwa in London, and moved to Canada to join Chiat/Day, Toronto, on Labatt, Canadian Airlines and Toshiba, winning two gold art director awards for his work. PS
