ACLK scores a hat trick

Ambrose Carr Linton Kelly of Toronto has scored its third new account in a month.

Last week, the agency launched Toronto am radio station 680News, the 24-hour news format that replaced rock station 680 CFTR.

aclk kicked off May with the US$1-million Ammex Tax & Duty Free Shops account, and later announced the win of the $1 million-plus Stratford Festival account after a four month review.

aclk was awarded the $2-million cftr assignment based on past work for chfi-fm, 680’s sister station in the Rogers Broadcasting stable.

The radio station is being positioned as ’20 Minutes of News. Every 20 Minutes.’

A series of three newspaper ads introduced the change, including, ‘Have You Heard The News?’

The continuing newspaper campaign will get tv support later this month and outdoor advertising is expected to follow.
