Chiat wins Nutri System

Nutri System, Canada’s largest national chain of weight-loss centres, has awarded its creative assignment to Chiat/Day Toronto.

A new campaign is expected this fall.

Nutri System is a heavy radio advertiser, airing in almost every market 52 weeks a year.

Media placement for the account, valued at more than $10 million, is handled by Initiative Media.

The runner-up in the two-month-long review was Ross Roy, Toronto.

English-language advertising was previously handled by the company on a project basis.

The French-language portion is with PNMD/Publitel of Montreal.

Ten-year-old Nutri System is based in Concord, Ont. and operates 175 corporate-owned and -franchised centres across Canada.

Part of its weight-loss program includes use of its own prepackaged, nutritionally balanced meals. PS
