For where Magazines International its 22nd title is the new Philadelphia story.

WHERE Philadelphia was launched in late June, coinciding with the official opening of the Pennsylvania Convention Center by u.s. Vice-President Al Gore.

The latest in the network of the Toronto-based company’s visitor publications, WHERE Philadelphia joins other titles such as WHERE Paris, WHERE London, WHERE New York and WHERE Vancouver.

The new title is being published by South Jersey Publishing. Its publisher is Rick Mollineaux.

Philadelphia has experienced some growth in recent years. The City of Brotherly Love is now the second largest on the u.s. East Coast, with a metropolitan population of 5.8 million.

Because of the new deal, announced in late June, ckco-tv in Kitchener, Ont. has parted company with its media representation, the Paul Mulvihill Company, after 23 years.

Electrohome points out the split is not because of any dissatisfaction with Mulvihill, it is because of programming and marketing reasons.

cfrn-tv in Edmonton will continue to be represented by Mulvihill.

è One of the most listened-to rock programs in the English-speaking world is coming to chum-fm in Toronto.

The Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 Countdown began July 4 in the 6-10 p.m. time-slot each Sunday.

Dees is a Los Angeles-based dj and the winner of 10 consecutive Number One Radio Personality Awards bestowed by the trade magazine Billboard.

He has also had his own tv talk show and some years ago recorded the novelty hit Disco Duck.

è The PMB ’93 results show readership of the French version of Chatelaine by women aged 18+ has grown just 1% over last year’s pmb numbers.

Chatelaine, says PMB ’93, was tops with women 18-49, women in markets of 100,000+ population, working women and women with children.
