The lucrative Ontario tv market has another player.
Electrohome Communications and WIC Western International Communications have allied their stations, ckco in Kitchener and chch-tv in Hamilton, respectively, in a joint programming and marketing initiative.
Called Market One Television, the two stations will be strategically positioned against other regional Ontario networks, the Global Televison Network and the Ontario Television Network.
The two stations’ market stretches from Windsor in the west to Georgian Bay in the north and past Toronto to the east.
Market One Television claims a combined weekly reach of seven million viewers. chch has a further 750,000 viewers on satellite coast-to-coast.
