Labatt Breweries of Canada has recruited veteran sports commentator Paul Maguire to help launch the new Budweiser NFL promotional campaign.

The program is aimed at the retail, licensee and at-home viewers of National Football League games.

Maguire, an analyst on nbc’s Sunday afternoon nfl football broadcasts, is the star in a new tv and radio advertising campaign designed to support the retail component.

Scratch and win cards in specially marked cases of Budweiser beer offer a number of football-related prizes, including five trips to this year’s Super Bowl in Atlanta.

The cards can also be redeemed for a $2 discount on buckets of Kentucky Fried Chicken.

The at-home viewer can get involved by playing the nfl trivia challenge Sunday afternoons on Global Television and Monday evenings on Hamilton’s chch-tv.

Prizes include a trip for two to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Names of weekly winners will be published in The Toronto Sun.

Licensees in all markets will participate through on-premise scratch-and-win promotions.
