Last month, Chrysler moved the North American Jeep/Eagle advertising assignment, worth about US$135 million a year, from cme-khbb, a unit of Saatchi & Saatchi, to Bozell Worldwide.
Bozell has the Chrysler business in 26 foreign countries and Jeep/Eagle in most markets outside North America.
The move has not only increased Bozell’s billings, but also added three full-service offices and 26 field offices to the agency’s North American group.
On Jan. 1, cme offices in Windsor, Ont. Detroit and Los Angeles and 26 field offices serving the Jeep/Eagle business will join Bozell.
Nine members of cme-khbb, Toronto, who have been working on the account will either move to Bozell Toronto or to the Windsor office.
All cme staff affected by the reorganization will remain employed and President Mike Vogel, based in Detroit, will continue to head the Chrysler business in Windsor and Detroit.
cme-khbb will be left with Canadian offices in Toronto and Vancouver. PS
