Ready 2 Roll, a Toronto-based retailer of in-line skates, accessories and clothing, has hired Weis & Associates Advertising of Toronto to assist it in its expansion plans.

The company, which has three outlets in the Metro Toronto area, intends to add four stores this year, two in the Toronto area, one in New York and one in Florida.

A new campaign comprising radio, newspaper and transit is scheduled to start mid-March.

Through parent company I.C.E.D. Management Group, Ready 2 Roll also owns Toronto’s Planet Skate professional in-line skating hockey team, which is part of the Roller Hockey International league.

The team won the eastern division championship in 1993, but is taking a one- to two-year hiatus while it finds an air-conditioned facility. PS
