Prime Advertising of Toronto scooped up 10 awards, including two golds, at the first annual event honoring outstanding Chinese creative in Canada.
The event, held in Toronto on March 5, was sponsored by the six-year-old Canadian Chinese Advertising Marketing & Media Association.
120 entries
It featured more than 120 entries and 35 awards presented in eight categories of electronic media, print media, radio and multimedia campaign.
Prime Advertising won top honors in the tv commercial category for Poirier & Brightling Marketing and another gold, plus a silver and bronze, in the business video section for work for clients cibc, Kealson and Tridel.
Can-Asian Advertising of Toronto picked up seven awards, including gold for best multimedia campaign for Plan International Canada.
Terry O Communications, a mainstream Toronto agency, picked up six awards in the magazine, poster and brochure design categories, including two golds for work for Dragon Ball 1994.
Other winners were Era Advertising (with four awards), Dynasty Advertising (3), Crimson Advertising (2); and with one each, China Syndrome Productions, Dragon Image Advertising and Choices Magazine.
