Halifax shop gets Oland

Labatt Breweries of Canada has rounded out its agency lineup with the assignment of Oland and Keith’s brands to Halifax-based Corporate Communications.

The business was previously with Young & Rubicam, Toronto.

Ammirati & Puris will handle media planning, while Labatt’s media buying agency, Harrison Young Pesonen & Newell, takes care of placement. Both are Toronto firms.

Public relations duties for the Atlantic region remain with the Halifax office of Continental PIR Communications.

This past January, Labatt appointed Ammirati & Puris for its Labatt brands, and media and marketing consultant.

At that time, Bozell Palmer Jarvis of Toronto, which previously handled Labatt Genuine Draft, took over Carlsberg and Budweiser; Lowe SMS (which as Scali McCabe Sloves had Carlsberg and Ice beers) was given new product development advertising; and Lowe SMS, Vancouver kept the Columbia Brewery brands such as Kokanee.
