Nielsen Marketing Research has introduced Radio AccuTrak to the Vancouver market.

Radio AccuTrak, which was launched in Toronto in January, 1993, is a service that measures am and fm radio ad spending.

The service is based on monthly reporting by stations of actual spending, rather than estimates of spending.

The information available through AccuTrak includes ad spending figures segmented by product category, company and brand.

The information is further broken down according to the time of day the ads were aired.

Advertisers can also request data on the number of weeks an ad was aired, the number of times it aired and the share of voice.

Participating radio stations include ckks-fm, cfox-fm and cfun-am.

Nielsen has said it is also working on introducing the service to the Montreal market. PA
