Product: Nu-Medicine

Client: Nu-Life

Package design firm: Flight Path Design & Communication

Objectives:

To launch a family of homeopathic products for the relief of various medical conditions and communicate a New Age alternative to traditional synthetic drug remedies.

The challenge:

- To create a brand identity that communicates the brand’s medicinal and therapeutic benefits across an extensive family of products (a total of 18) and provide exceptional shelf impact and appeal.

- To position the product as leading-edge, believable and effective.

- To package the products in convenient and easy-to-use dispensers (developed in Europe to dispense single dosage granules with a twist of a see-through cap) and carry over the brand identity used on this package to the header panels of the display units.

The design solution:

Bright, contrasting colors maximixe shelf impact and distinguish variants.

Strong product name registration clearly communicates specific product benefit.

Bold, dynamic graphic treatment promotes New Age look and communicates product effectiveness.

Gravity feed display units enhance product accessibility and allow for merchandising flexibility.

The results:

Launched initially in January to health food stores only, Nu-Life found an incredible response from its existing accounts (more than 500 accounts nationwide ordered a full product lineup of Nu-Medicine.)

Also, the product line has already gained popular support from medical and health practitioners across Canada.

The product is already being line extended to liquid and cream variants that carry over the brand identity developed for the granule products. Also, the launch of another 22 granule products are in the works for the fall.
