On the Move: Lotus’ Wyatt to head up company’s U.K. branch: Clients:

Lotus Canada has yet to name a successor to general manager Colin Wyatt, who has accepted a post as managing director of Lotus’ operations in the u.k. and Ireland.

Wyatt, who joined Lotus Canada six years ago, will begin his new job Oct. 1.

– Pierre Mignault, president and chief executive officer of Montreal-based grocery retailer Provigo, has taken on additional duties.

On Aug. 1, Mignault was named president and chief operating officer of the Loeb grocery store chain, a subsidiary of Provigo.

He replaces Michel Tremblay, who was Ottawa-based Loeb’s president for about a year and is now Provigo’s executive vice-president, merchandising and procurement.

In other news, David Guilfoyle has left Loeb, where he had been vice-president of marketing.

Guilfoyle’s post was eliminated in a restructuring that will see Loeb’s various marketing functions reporting to Marie France Gibson, vice-president of marketing for Provigo.

– Allied Van Lines, the Edmonton-based moving company, has named Jack Griffin as its vice-president of sales and marketing.

Griffin joins Allied from the marketing department of office furniture maker Steelcase Canada of Toronto.

Before that, he was in sales and marketing with Xerox Canada.

Griffin replaces Robert Clay, who has been transferred to the sales and marketing department of Allied International in Chicago.

– General Motors Co. of Canada has appointed Stewart Low as director, public relations.

Low, who joined gm in 1973 and entered the public relations department in 1985, had been manager, public relations since 1993.

– BMG Music Canada has named Dale Curd as manager, special products and catalogue marketing.

Curd, who has eight years’ experience in the music industry, was most recently bmg’s manager of national media relations.

Before that, he was publicity co-ordinator, music and visual arts with Harbourfront in Toronto.

– Delta Hotels & Resorts has tapped Vicky Tindle to fill the newly created post of regional director of marketing, b.c. and the Prairies.

Tindle transfers to the job from the Delta Chelsea Inn in Toronto, where she is director of sales.
