In a short item in the Sept. 19 edition concerning the Communique Group purchasing a majority interest in The Hughes Group, it was stated that The Hughes Group provides database and direct response services to Canadian Airlines’ frequent flyer program.

Although Hughes Database Marketing (a different company from The Hughes Group) did provide direct response services to Canadian in the past, Canadian Airlines’ exclusive direct marketing agency has been Ogilvy & Mather West of Calgary since 1990.
