V&B nabs Tourism Canada

Vickers & Benson Advertising of Toronto has won the bulk of the $5.5-million Tourism Canada account and will be handling advertising for the u.s. market.

Advertising for other markets such as Europe, Asia or the Pacific Rim will be assigned if needed at a later date to either v&b or one of the runners-up in the competition.

Toronto agency Axmith McIntyre Wicht, the incumbent on the business, was on the short-list along with Padulo Integrated and Montreal-based agencies Allard Communication-Marketing, bcp and Cossette Communication-Marketing.
