In a test in downtown Toronto, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has opened a mutual funds store situated between a coffee shop and a book seller.
The store sells the bank’s 15 types of mutual funds, which are also sold through the bank’s regular branches.
John Vivash, chairman of CIBC Securities, says the store, located on the concourse level of Commerce Court, is a test and will be monitored through two rrsp seasons.
