Three industry veterans have established a Toronto consultancy called The September Project to specialize in marketing communication and product development for older adult markets.

Eric Miller, Edgar Cowan and Tim Pervin have brought their expertise to the venture.

Miller is a copywriter, graphic designer, public affairs practitioner, social marketer and co-founder of the now-defunct Miller Myers Bruce DallaCosta.

He has been operating Eric Miller Consulting Group since leaving mmbd in 1989 after it was bought by The Lopex Group.

Cowan, most recently principal and director of Sound Healthcare, has also been in book publishing, strategic marketing and new business financing.

He was also founding partner of Toronto’s Citytv; publisher of Saturday Night magazine for seven years, and president and chief executive officer of C Channel Pay TV.

Pervin has had a 25-year career in consulting, direct marketing and advertising with firms such as Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising and Taylor-Tarpay, working with every sector from packaged goods and consumer durables to computers and automotive categories.

Additional input to the firm will come from David Harrison of Toronto media buying company Harrison Young Pesonen & Newell.

Harrison will provide media consultation to clients of The September Project. PS
