Days Inns Canada has opened three properties, one in Ottawa and two in the Quebec City area, to help strengthen its presence in those markets.

The mid-price hotel chain opened the Days Inns Ottawa City Centre, – its 10th opening this year – to capitalize on the heavy business traffic in the Toronto/Montreal/Ottawa triangle.

In the last year, it has opened three properties in Montreal.

The two Quebec sites, one in the city itself and another at nearby Mt. St. Anne, were developed because of Days Inns’ success in that province, according to Peggy Murphy, marketing co-ordinator for Days Inns Canada.

Five of Canada’s 39 Days Inns are in Quebec.

Days Inns will be starting an ad campaign in late January, promoting its Frequent Stay program, and its new club room.

The campaign, created by Echo Advertising, will run in major newspapers across the country.
