Still with Maclean Hunter, the company has closed two of its money-losing medical titles.

Gone are Ontario Medicine and Physician’s Management Manuals.

Jim Hall, president of MH Medical Publishing Group, blames reduced pharmaceutical advertising for the closures.

Replacing the defunct titles are The Medical Post Outlook, a supplement to mh’s flagship medical book, The Medical Post. The Medical Post Outlook will be polybagged with the Post seven times a year. The first issue appeared in November.

Another mh project is The Health Executive Intelligence Service, an electronic news service for hospitals expected to begin in the first or second quarter of this year.
