Michael Judson in ‘City’s small shops getting short shrift’ in the Jan. 9 issue comes off like a jilted lover, slowly suffocating in his envy over the success of others.

As one of those small ‘streetwise’ firms Judson so passionately trumpets, thanks, but, no thanks.

We’re not seeking scraps thrown out by the larger firms. We’ll earn our work through sweat and creativity (as any agency should) or we’ll go bust. C’est la vie.

Nobody owes any firm, large or small, anything. Kudos to Cossette and bcp for their success.

It just makes us work all the harder.
