Richard Ellis has been promoted to vice-president, Marshall Fenn. Ellis joined the agency in 1993, as account director in charge of DuPont Canada and Bell Mobility after stints at Continental PIR, Ontario Hydro and General Mills.

- Marlene Hore has departed BCP Toronto but will continue to do some work for the agency through her independent company, Good Ink.

Hore joined bcp last April as creative director.

For 22 years before, she had been with J. Walter Thompson, both in Montreal and Toronto, leaving as vice-chairman and national creative director in May 1993.

Hore began her creative career writing radio and television copy for CFCF Montreal, later taking her first agency job with Vickers & Benson Advertising, Montreal.

Gerry Monsier, senior art director at bcp since last April, has been named acting creative director and will work with Patrick Beaudoin, who is based in the Montreal office as international executive creative director.

- Martin Kingston, president of Ambrose Carr Linton Kelly, of Toronto, for the past two and half years, has left the agency.

Kingston’s duties have been assumed within the firm by Don Ambrose, chairman, and Cara Finley, vice-president strategic planning.

Kingston was previously executive vice-president and managing director of Baker Lovick/BBDO until its merger with McKim Advertising in January 1992.

Kingston joined Ambrose Carr in an equity position and the agency, 40% owned by mdc, was expected to be renamed Ambrose Carr Linton Kingston within a year.

- Jean-Jacques Streliski has moved back to Quebec as partner and executive creative director of PNMD/Publitel, which is 49% owned by BBDO Worldwide.

Streliski will work on multinational assignments within bbdo’s Canadian and international networks.

He was president and creative director of BCP Streliski in Paris from 1991-94. He is ending his shareholder status with bcp in Paris, but will consult with the agency, now being run by a managing director, during a transition period.

- At Copeland Communications in Victoria, b.c., Steven Dagg has been promoted to vice-president and general manager, and Dan Dagg has been appointed vice-president of client services.
