Effective April 1, The Thomas Pigeon Design Group will have an integrated client service and ‘virtual design’ office in Rochester, n.y.

Thomas Pigeon, president of Thomas Pigeon Design, says he is establishing the office to help service a u.s. client base that has tripled in the last three years.

The Rochester office will also help Canadian clients moving into the u.s. market by providing advice on packaging regulations, perspectives on the u.s. retail scene and strategic planning on appropriate market entry schemes.

For example, Pigeon says the National Labeling Educational Act alone has created a ‘minefield’ of regulatory detail that Canadian marketers must be aware of.

Helping lead the move into the u.s. is Blair Campbell, former vice-president of marketing and sales for Curtice Burns Food’s Comstock division.

Campbell becomes vice-president, strategic planning, based in Rochester. Thomas Pigeon Design is located in Oakville, Ont.

Its u.s. clients include Johnson & Johnson and Miller Brewing.
