Promanad Communications has come out on top of the Toshiba of Canada review for a $1.5 million piece of its business.
The assignment encompasses Toshiba office products, including fax, photocopying and business telephone systems and information systems group with products such as notebook computers.
Barbara Minor, Toshiba’s advertising and public relations specialist, says Promanad was picked because of its ability to provide a complete marketing solution and handle direct marketing, public relations, p-o-p and other collateral material in addition to advertising.
A new campaign is expected soon.
Toshiba’s consumer electronics division is handled by D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, one of the agencies on the short-list.
Bozell Palmer Bonner was also in the running.
The Gingko Group was eliminated from the race last month because of a potential conflict with an existing client.
Toshiba began its review process in June after an ‘amicable split’ with agency of three years Chiat/Day (now TBWA Chiat/ Day.)
