Nathan Rudyk, former vice-president, retail solutions for Quebecor-owned Internet solutions firm Nurun, has joined Ottawa-based data analysis software developer InterNetivity as vice-president of marketing. Rudyk, an occasional contributor to Strategy Direct + Interactive and an author and lecturer, was founder and president of Ottawa-based online marketing firm Digit Interactive, before selling the company to Nurun last February.


Juhani Eistrat has moved back to Canada from New York, where he was partner and worldwide group account director at OgilvyOne Worldwide, to take on the role of president of Toronto-based Vickers & Benson Direct + Interactive (VBDI). Prior to joining Ogilvy, Eistrat was senior vice-president, group management director at FCB Direct in New York. Previously, he spent more than three years at FCB Direct’s office in Toronto as vice-president, group account director. Earlier, he had been vice-president, director of client services at Taylor Tarpay Direct in Toronto. Also at VBDI, Peter Boggs has been promoted to senior vice-president, client services director, and Steve Murray and Bryan Tenenhouse have each been promoted to the position of senior vice-president, creative director.

London, Ont.-based pharmaceutical specialist MC Healthcare Group has promoted Mark Nolan to the role of vice-president, client services from his position as account director, which he has held since joining the agency in 1999. MC Healthcare’s client roster includes 3M Pharmaceuticals, Hoffmann-La Roche, Boehringer-Ingleheim, and Alcon Canada. Also at the MC Group of Companies, Correna Craig has joined MC Direct as an account manager, working on the Royal Bank Affinity Card Marketing Group and 3M Pharmaceuticals accounts. Craig joined the agency from Cambridge Malls, where she was advertising manager.

Toronto-based Internet services firm CyberSight has hired Carolyn Convey as director, media. Convey has more than 10 years’ media experience, both online and off, working at Cossette Communication-Marketing, Ogilvy & Mather and Genesis Media.

Internet solutions company Blast Radius has hired Louise Cumming as general manager and Yvan Champagne as business development manager in its Toronto office. Prior to joining Blast Radius, Cumming was vice-president, e-commerce and technology strategy for Trizec Hahn Corporation and before that held senior management positions with Interactive Media Group, Weston Foods, Molson Breweries Canada, Hershey Canada, and Kraft General Foods. Champagne, meanwhile, had been responsible for managing the Canadian e-commerce strategy for Coca-Cola Enterprises.
