New CRM contact

Langhorne, Pa.-based customer relationship management (CRM) solutions provider ICT Group is expanding its Canadian CRM sales and service operations. In response to projected growth, ICT is opening a new contact center in Carbonear, Newfoundland, and increasing workstation capacity at existing operations in Miramichi, New Brunswick. The new center will specialize in CRM sales applications for both U.S. and Canadian clients, primarily in the financial services and insurance industries.

Online ad spending on the rebound

Online ad spending in the U.S. is expected to rebound and grow to more than US$15 billion by 2006, according to a recent Jupiter online advertising report. The same report also forecasts that other digital marketing spending – including e-mail, online promotions and e-coupons – will eventually exceed online advertising, totaling more than US$19 billion. Jupiter analysts stress that online publishers need to find ways to diversify their offerings and focus on product and consumer rewards.

New Internet research sources

Global market research company Ipsos-Reid Corp. has created two online resource tools for Internet research. The first is a searchable database in the form of a map of the world containing data from the company’s global Internet study, The Face of the Web. The Little Internet Fact Book Web site contains – among other things – key recent facts and figures about Internet usage in the U.S.
