GOTMARKETING GETS NEW SMALL BIZ TOOL

Yet another small biz e-mail marketing tool is on the market – this time from Oracle and GotMarketing, a Campbell, Calif.-based e-mail solutions provider with offices in Ottawa and Montreal. GotMarketing’s Campaigner Web-based e-mail marketing tools have been incorporated into the Oracle Small Business Suite to create measurable permission-based campaigns.

HANDSHAKE TO DELIVER VIRTUAL TOUCH TECH

Kitchener-Ont.-based Handshake Interactive Technologies has opened new headquarters and appointed new members to its senior team, all with a view to becoming a forerunner in virtual touch solutions. Its technology allows any user from any location to touch virtual objects in a computer-generated environment and/or over a communications network. Handshake says it will deliver working prototypes of this real-time virtual touch solution by 2003.

MINING FOR THE RIGHT E-MAIL CUSTOMERS

InfoLeaf Software of Kelowna, B.C., has developed a technology that allows users to extract very specific e-mail addresses from the Internet. When marketers are searching for e-mail addresses from Web pages, with the company’s E-Mail Miner software, they can specify precisely which words the pages must or must not contain. Only those pages will qualify for e-mail extraction.
