It’s awards season everywhere, and strategy is no exception, doling out the hardware to the marketers who made a clear impression on the Canadian
marketing landscape over 2005. These are the folks behind the successful brands: marketers with vision who shook things up, made smart strategic decisions, had campaigns you couldn’t miss – and have the personalities to match.
We unofficially polled pundits, selected the top six, then made it democratic, inviting you, their peers from across the country, to vote on who deserved the gold. Exactly 121 of you voted, and the winner, fittingly, is WestJet’s Sean Durfy whom we’ve profiled on the pages that follow. Our silver (Virgin’s Nathan Rosenberg) and bronze (Reitmans’ Stephanie Bleau) winners are deserving of high praise as well. Here are your marketers of the year.
