Laurentian bankers hits open houses

The Montreal bank is going to great lengths to let house hunters know that it will literally be there every step of the way during the buying process.

Laurentian Bank wants to tell first-time homebuyers that it’s there to help them make their house a home. So, it’s going to great lengths to let house hunters know that the bank will literally be there every step of the way during the buying process through a new mortgage campaign promoting a 5% cashback offer.
To back it up, for the first time Montreal-based Laurentian will have personnel on hand at open houses throughout the city, advising homebuyers on mortgages, financing, decorating and renovating, as well as promoting services and special offers. Also a first this year, the bank teamed up with Astral Media to sponsor a series of home renovation and decoration shows airing on weekends to coincide with and direct people to various open houses. This builds on Laurentian’s past sponsorship of a radio show on home-buying, which it’s continuing this year as well.
‘We want to make sure that we’re going to be in their minds all the way from the moment they start dreaming about their new house until they choose their financial institution,’ says Marie-Pierre Lepine, marketing and advertising director at Laurentian Bank.
Working with Montreal-based Bleublancrouge, which handled both creative and media, Laurentian rolled out ads to support the effort – including print, OOH and online – that illustrate how the 5% cashback provides the perfect opportunity for people to start personalizing their new homes through renovation and decoration projects. The campaign, which launched this month, will run until the end of April.
