First it was Montreal, then Amsterdam and now it’s Paris. Sid Lee just celebrated the opening of its third atelier in the City of Lights with one big-time bender.
The agency’s Parisian shop brings together nearly 20 artisans with the more than 300 creatives, including scriptwriters, architects and industrial designers that are spread across the three locations. It already boasts clients including Ubisoft, Kronenbourg 1664, Eurostar, Grimbergen, Mondial de l’automobil and Coca-Cola.
The newest addition to the Sid Lee roster is headed by CEO Johan Delpuech and Bertrand Cesvet, chairman and principal partner at Sid Lee, who has been based in France since September 2009 to aid the agency’s expansion in Europe.
‘Being in France means Sid Lee gets to work with incredible creative talents,’ said Cesvet in a release. ‘It’s also a new market that bolsters our position in Europe. We are very satisfied with how quickly Sid Lee has established a presence in France.’
Sylvain Thirache, formerly CD at DDB Paris, is the creative talent that’s taken the reins at Sid Lee’s Paris atelier as CD and managing partner.
‘At Sid Lee I have a much larger canvas for creative expression,’ says Thirache. ‘There’s no silo thinking so I am able to express myself better, go further with ideas and create richer communication experiences.’
