Lance Martin set to lead Advertising & Design Club of Canada

Joining Martin on the ADCC's board are Fidel Peña as VP and Chad Borlase as secretary.

The Advertising & Design Club of Canada has elected a new president.

Lance Martin, ECD at Taxi 2 in Toronto, will be stepping into the role, replacing current president Brian Howlett, CCO of Toronto-based Agency59, who will be completing his term on the board as chair. Joining Martin are Fidel Peña, CD and co-founder of Underline Studio as the ACC’s newly-elected VP, and Chad Borlase of Bos Toronto as secretary.

‘I’m looking forward to leading the club with the help of Fidel,’ says Martin. ‘I hope to increase membership in the club in the next few years. Now more than ever it’s important for the Canadian marketing community to work together across all communication disciplines.’

The announcement comes following the annual general meeting of members on June 30, which also revealed the rest of the Club’s new board members including: Gilbert Li, principal/designer, the Office of Gilbert Li; Andrew Simon, SVP/CD, DDB Canada; Lisa Greenberg, VP/CD/head of art, Leo Burnett; and Paul Little, CD, TBWAVancouver. They join continuing members Gary Beelik, principal, Soapbox Design Communications; Dré Labre, CD, Rethink Toronto; Norman Mayot, CD/co-founder, Sonic Boom Creative Media Inc.; and Christina Yu, CD, Red Urban.
