Strategy‘s annual Agency of the Year event will hand out a new slate of awards this year. Announced in the October issue, the five Brand of the Year winners – A&W, Degrassi, Koodo, Mark’s and TIFF – will take the stage, along with the winners of Agency of the Year, Media Agency of the Year and the B!G Awards, which will be revealed that night.
The event, taking place Nov. 11 at the Berkeley in Toronto, will be hosted by Fiona Stevenson, category brand manager at P&G, who also acted as an AOY judge.
The other AOY judges are: Nelson Angel, VP, managing partner, Revolve; Pascal Chandonnet, VP brand strategies & integration, Palm & Havas; Anne Fortin, VP, managing director, Draftfcb; Liam Greenlaw, CD, Wasserman & Partners; Dan Howe, chief marketing officer, YUM! brands; Craig Hutchison, SVP marketing, Loblaws; Carl Jones, VP, ECD, Grey; Jill King, president, Due North Communications; Paul Leblanc, CEO, Extreme Group; Sharon MacLeod, marketing director, Unilever; Bryce Zurowski, regional VP – Western Canada, Sleeman Breweries.
The MAOY judges are: Emily Bain, partner and strategic planning director, John St.; Bianca Barbucci, VP general manager, TVA Boutiques; Ivy Ho, director of communications and marketing, Downtown Halifax Business Commission; Janet McNally, VP strategic planning, Lowe Roche; Risto Scott, marketing director, Billabong Canada; Barbara Smith, director of brand engagement, the Globe & Mail; Muriel Solomon, VP marketing strategy, specialty channels, Canwest; Theresa Treutler, president and CEO, Television Bureau of Canada; Chris Williams, managing director, Media Contact.
