Ferdie Schneidersmann, the king of Canadian agri-marketing

The Canadian Agri-Marketing Association names Schneidersmann its top marketer for 2010.

Ferdie Schneidersmann is Canada’s Agri-Marketer of the Year. The Candian Agri-Marketing Associaltion (CAMA) has named the 38-year industry vet as the award winner as part of its annual Best of CAMA celebrations, which recognize the best in agri-marketing from across Canada.

The award touts outstanding accomplishments in Canadian agricultural marketing, paying homage to innovative leadership and top-notch performance in meeting the challenges presented by marketing in today’s constantly changing agricultural landscape.

‘It was his overall dedication to excellence in agri-marketing and an outstanding list of career achievements that lead our panel of judges to select him as this year’s winner,’ said Barbara Chabih, co-chair for 2010 Best of CMA, in a release.

Schneidersmann’s achievements include being involved with the co-patenting of the Helix canola seed treatment technology in Canada while at Syngenta Crop Protection and being recognized by the Canadian Association of Agricutural Retailers as one of the Ten Most Influential People in Canadian Agri-Retail. He will receive his award on Nov. 4 at the 2010 CAMA Awards Show in Winnipeg.
