Cossette restructures

Following its privatization last year, Cossette today announced a major restructuring of the agency organized under a new holding company called Vision7 International.

Cossette will retain its name and form one of the two entities, led by president and CEO Brett Marchand. The agency will continue to offer integrated marketing services across Canada.

The second entity, called Esprit de Corps Communications, will be the international arm of Vision7, part of its goal to expand its global activities (which already represent 45% of Cossette’s business). The company will house a collection of individual agencies in the UK, US and Canada, led in Europe by Gregor Angus and Colin Schleining in North America. The agencies are service-specific, and include Dare and MCBD in the UK (interactive communications and mass advertising), Elvis in the UK (CRM), Paine PR in the US, Optimum in Canada and Band and Brown UK (PR and social media), Rocket XL (online soc media marketing) and Jungle Media (media).

‘This move will add depth to our service offering, increase our flexibility and fuel our growth,’ Marchand said in a release.

Vision7 International will be based in Canada and led by chairman and CEO Claude Lessard. Other members of the board include Marchard (vice-chair), Pierre Delagrave (president of media), Martin Faucher (VP and CFO), Marcel Barthe (VP, corporate strategy) and Kimberley Okell (VP, legal affairs).
