ICA names Carrier to top spot

Claude Carrier, vice president of Montreal-based full-service agency Bos, has been named the newest chairman of the Institute of Communication Agencies’ (ICA) board of directors.

The organization made the announcement late yesterday, noting that Carrier will replace Marshall Fenn president Jim Kabrajee in the top spot. Kabrajee is moving to the ICA’s board of governors, where he will be chair.

Also new to the 2011 board is Laurie Young, managing director, Ogilvy & Mather, who has taken on the role of vice chair and treasurer.

Current members of the board include Andrew Bruce of Publicis, David Gibb of JWT Canada, Alan Gee of the newly named Blammo (formerly GJP), Bob Shropshire of Dentsu Canada, Doug Conn of Wasserman & Partners Advertising, Gary Lee of Cundari Group, Gillian Graham of the ICA, Jani Yates of the ICA and Philip George of TBWAToronto.
