BBDO/Proximity adds Pfuhl to its leadership team

The former GJP managing partner joins the agency as its senior VP and managing director.

BBDO/Proximity Canada has a new addition to its leadership group. Kevin Pfuhl has joined the agency as senior VP, managing director, set to head the RBC business in Canada, as well as the Molson Coors account, and contribute overall strategic leadership to the agency’s client roster.

‘BBDO really is a nimble giant, so to speak, with amazing credentials and it’s an agency that’s very well positioned for the future by virtue of its ability to deliver what we call total work for all of our clients,’ says Pfuhl. ‘So, having that strength of deep credentials, capabilities, just a fantastic culture, made this decision essentially a no-brainer.’

Pfuhl arrives at the agency from GJP Advertising, now Blammo Worldwide, where he was managing partner, client development and strategy. Over an 11-year tenure with GJP he created integrated advertising, digital branding, design and direct solutions for its clients.

On top of a history working in categories such as telecommunications, B2B, beverage alcohol and retail, Pfuhl has worked with financial services clients both in Canada and internationally across lines of business including retail banking, capital markets and wealth management. His experience spans the branding integration of BMO retail and wealth management, advisor channel marketing for TD Asset management, the launch of a range of products from Canadian Tire Financial Services, and the branding and launch of Caribbean-based insurance company Sagicor Financial Group.
