Nathan Rosenberg leaves Virgin Mobile Canada

Virgin Mobile Canada has bid adieu to the CMO that helped give the company its start. Nathan Rosenberg, the enigmatic, ever-youthful marketer who helped launch the company over seven years ago, has left to pursue an undisclosed business start-up opportunity.

“It was hard to leave such a brilliant and inspiring group of people (Virgin Mobile, Bell Mobile and agency partner Juniper Park) because they are true rock stars and I love them dearly,” says Rosenberg. “They just keep raising the bar and setting a whole new standard. I just realized that it was right to let them fly higher and I could pack my bags and move on to the next gig.”

Replacing Rosenberg will be former Virgin Mobile Canada director of brand and communications, Andrew Bridge, who has been appointed managing director of the company. His role, described by Virgin as a wider marketing role, will have him overseeing all marketing activities, web presence, store design and merchandising for the brand.

“I’ve had the time of my life helping to create the success of Virgin Mobile Canada since we launched in 2005,” says Bridge. “This is a great next challenge and I can’t wait to keep building on everything we’ve already accomplished. I’m thrilled to take on this new role .”
